Chairman's Message
CA Sanjay Aggarwal, Chair, ICAI New England (2021)
Dear Professional Colleagues,
Welcome to the New England Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI New England). We started our journey as a Representative Office in July 2020, and I believe we have already made progress since that time in building our community and we are very pleased to have inaugurated the 4th U.S. Chapter of the ICAI in the New England area.
To quote my favorite game show host, Alex Trebek of Jeopardy, sometimes “questions are more important than the answers”. And I can’t think of a professional group better trained in the art of asking the insightful questions than my fellow Chartered Accountants. Many of us have navigated our careers through multiple countries, many industries, changes in the U.S. economy, and ever evolving job markets. Our training in analysis and attention to detail are the guiding principles that have led us to build a global brand for the CA certification.
Now, let me take a couple of minutes to share the vision that our Managing Committee has laid out for the New England Chapter:
I am proud of the accomplishments of my fellow Chartered Accountants in the New England area, and globally. My Managing Committee team and I share a passion to connect with fellow professionals to help us all grow and build our networks. We all look forward to building the New England Chapter together.

Now, let me take a couple of minutes to share the vision that our Managing Committee has laid out for the New England Chapter:
- Our first and most important goal for the first year is to build a strong membership base for the Chapter, and provide them opportunities to network, develop their professional skills and capabilities, and career opportunities.
- Another key objective for us is to ensure that we are not building the Chapter in a silo. So, we are focused on connecting with other organizations that work in the U.S.-India bilateral corridor. We had many of them at our Chapter inaugural and will continue to build relationships with them.
- The final goal for us is to build strong operational processes of our Chapter that will help us serve our members effectively and efficiently.
I am proud of the accomplishments of my fellow Chartered Accountants in the New England area, and globally. My Managing Committee team and I share a passion to connect with fellow professionals to help us all grow and build our networks. We all look forward to building the New England Chapter together.
